Introduction

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a first-person shooter video game which is a part of the Counter-Strike series. It was announced to the public on August 12, 2011, and is developed by Valve Corporation and their partner, Hidden Path Entertainment. The game was later released on August 21, 2012 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, and OS X and later Linux as a downloadable title.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive started off as an Xbox 360 port of Counter-Strike: Source by Hidden Path Entertainment. Seeing this as an opportunity to expand the franchise, Valve turned it into an entirely new game.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a very unique game unlike the highly popular CoD and Bf series Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a more serious and competitive game but can also be very fun with game mods created by the community.

This game is not a run and gun game it is based on hip fire, Standing and crouching for extra accuracy you can however with certain weapons staying quite efficient such as the Smgs.

Settings

Settings in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive can be a very game changing difference, It changes everything from brightness so you can see down tunnels to Sensitivity so you have the ability to have greater and more precise aim.

This guide should help you in Cs to become a better more reliable player for your team.

(doing this will make Cs:Go way more easy to hit targets at a longer range with it on it pretty much moves way more then it should so it does the oposite then it states).

Auto Exec

autoexec.cfg loads everything you put into this Config automaticly at every single game launch, I would highly recommend this because you can add stuff like console commands to start at launch to ensure the same settings load at every single launch and other stuff including alias, this takes about 4 minuites to do and can make your game memory very well memorized.

This is a modified version of Corehavens Autoexec.

How to Make an Autoexec file:

Copy and Paste the Bold Contents into a notepad and name it Autoexec.cfg.
Go to your start menu, type "Folder Options," go to the "View" Tab, Uncheck "Hide Extensions for Known File Types," Rename your autoexec ensuring it is called "Autoexec.cfg"
Adjust the settings to your preference.
Then place that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg
Launch game, open console, type "exec autoexec" to ensure its loaded. It does it automatically but that's how you do it!

Weapons

The weapons in the Counter-Strike series form the basic framework for gameplay. Each weapon is split up into different categories based on their individual attributes.

1. Glock

The Glock 18 is a serviceable first-round pistol that works best against unarmored opponents and is capable of firing three-round bursts.

2. P250

A low-recoil firearm with a high rate of fire, the P250 is a relatively inexpensive choice against armored opponents.

3. Desert Eagle

As expensive as it is powerful, the Desert Eagle is an iconic pistol that is difficult to master but surprisingly accurate at long range.

4. Dual Berettas

Firing two large-mag Berettas at once will lower accuracy and increase load times. On the bright side, you'll get to fire two large-mag Berettas at once.

5. Tec-9

A low-accuracy semi-automatic, the Tec-9 offers excellent penetration damage and a high magazine capacity, though its recoil can be unforgiving.

6. CZ75 Auto

A fully automatic variant of the CZ75, the CZ75-Auto is another inexpensive choice against armored opponents. But with very little ammo provided, strong trigger discipline is required.

7. USP-S

A fan favorite from Counter-Strike: Source, the Silenced USP Pistol has a detachable silencer that gives shots less recoil while suppressing attention-getting noise.

8. P2000

Accurate and controllable, the German-made P2000 is a serviceable first-round pistol that works best against unarmored opponents.

Rifles

1. Galil AR

A less expensive option among the terrorist-exclusive assault rifles, the Galil AR is a serviceable weapon in medium to long-range combat.

2. AK-47

Powerful and reliable, the AK-47 is one of the most popular assault rifles in the world. It is most deadly in short, controlled bursts of fire.

3. SSG 08

The SSG 08 bolt-action is a low-damage but very cost-effective sniper rifle, making it a smart choice for early-round long-range marksmanship.

4. AUG / SG 553

Powerful and accurate, scoped assault rifle compensates for its long reload times with low spread and a high rate of fire.

5. AWP

High risk and high reward, the infamous AWP is recognizable by its signature report and one-shot, one-kill policy.

6. SCAR-20 / G3SG1

The SCAR-20 is a semi-automatic sniper rifle that trades a high rate of fire and powerful long-distance damage for sluggish movement speed and big price tag.

Submachine guns

1. UMP-45

The misunderstood middle child of the SMG family, the UMP45's small magazine is the only drawback to an otherwise versatile close-quarters automatic. (Price: $1700 | ROF: 571 RPM)

2. PP-Bizon

The Bizon SMG is low-damage, but offers a uniquely designed high-capacity drum magazine that reloads quickly.

3. P90

Easily recognizable for its unique bullpup design, the P90 a great weapon to shoot on the move due to its high-capacity magazine and low recoil.

Molly = Molotov / incendiary grenade

eco round = 'saving round' where players buy pistols, grenades, or nothing in an attempt to save.

anti-eco - know enemy team is going eco, so you buy weapons specialized for making money (smgs, shotguns).

Totem/Tower = to stand on another player and defend an area.

counter flash - throw flash after enemy flash.

lit - damaged.

wall banging = shooting a player through a surface that allows bullets to penetrate.

walling = hacking and being able to see through walls.

nade stacking = when players throw a sequence of grenades in a particular direction.

stacking = when more players than usual defend or rush a particular bomb site.

ESEA = counter-strike e-sports. place for competitive match-making other than the in-game option available on GO.

Strat- strategy. Usually called by a team leader in mid-to-high-level play.

Deco- eco round with deagles.

Save/Save round- another name for an eco round. Little to nothing is bought for the purpose of saving money to buy guns in the next round, if possible.

to boost = jumping on a teammates back to get to places where couldn't on your own.

caller = the guy who calls the strats.

"need drop" = common to say when you cant afford a decent gun, and your teammates have more cash than you.

ninja defuse = defuse like a ninja.

demo= the replay file of a match.

mr15 = max rounds 15 (most common competitive game mode).

lo2 = lotto (being lucky).

l2p = learn to play.

pcw = personal clan war. And some quick chat terms:

GG: good game.

"RWS" Round wins shared - the current "skill" stat used by esea

"Bottom frag/top frag" = Lowest amount of kills/highest

live = match has started and is on-going

TK: Team Kill/er

FF: Friendly Fire

PUG: Pick Up Game

GH: good half.

WP = well played

GLHF: Good luck, have fun.

buy out = To buy as many things as possible because it's the last round of the half or game. Usually used as a command, e.g. "Last round of the half, guys. Buy out!"

drop a X bomb = To get at least a certain number of kills in a single game. X is usually 30, but sometimes 20. Some people say X for every 10 kills, others for every kill. e.g. "He dropped a 3 bomb last game" or "He dropped a 30 bomb last game" could both describe someone getting 30+ kills.

KD = Kill to Death ratio. e.g. 1.5 KD or 2.0 KD

pick, get a pick = Used to describe a kill when both the T and CT are staying in fairly static defensive positions and taking pot shots at each other.

rotate = For a player to leave the area he's defending or attacking and go to another area.

gl,hf,mb = (good luck, have fun, make babies)

Prefire -> shooting where you expect someone to be before actually seeing them (you heard them/etc.), sometimes through the wall

ns -> "nice shot"

Lag

I will list all the ways to try to fix lag in the game.

(It could just be your Computer or your internet,But this will help)

Launch options

Go to your steam libary>right click Csgo>Properties>Set Launch Options...

Copy and paste the bold text.

Just go ahead and download the Free version the payed version wont add anything which we need, once you are on just run all of the inbuilt uses and this should improve your computer in everyway possible.

Game setting's

I am guessing you have already tryed this option but who knows,you may have just missed it out, go ahead and turn down all of the settings down lower,this will improve Frame's Per Second and also make it run more smooth.

Also in game setting's find the ping option and set it to around 80-90.

Malware/Virus scan

malware and virus can be very dangerous to you and your computer so you will definetly need to get this fixed.

I would advise you to get Malware Bytes Anti Malware it has won a number of awards and is very well trusted just run the scan and it will get rid of all the malware and viruses located within your computer.

Competitive

Unlike casual mode, competitive mode always pits two teams of 5 against each other in a 30 round match. It is not possible to switch sides during the game except at the halftime. After the first 15 rounds, the game reaches halftime and the two teams will switch sides. The first team to score 16 points wins the game. If both teams score a total of 15 points by the end of the 30th round, the match will end in a tie. Games can also end prematurely if one team surrenders to the other. A vote to surrender must be unanimously agreed upon, and the vote is locked until a team member abandons the match.

This is a team game, follow your teams orders and ideas this is crucial to win and also in many lower game levels I see people arguing and then shooting each other, dont make a civil war play togethor.

A great way of ranking up is to play with friends or team mates with decent skill level a tip for this is add the person at the top of the leader board on each game for a easier time at ranking up, being matched with players who cant hit the side of a barn 2 metre's away is just a stressful and a horrible experience.

To take part in competitive you must be private rank 3 or above this is an attempt by valve to reduce the ammount of hackers,However this kind of hasn't worked in higher ranks,but they tryed.
